Step-by-step on how to string a badminton racket

Started tightening the Cross string

Like the main string, the pattern of tightening the cross string is the same. Follow the same method like what you have done with your main string for the rest of the cross strings, which is pull the cross string to the grip head located above the spring tensioner. After gripping the cross string, crank the spring tensioner handle clockwise and it will stop automatically when you have reached the desire weight as shown on diagram1. Now, take out the clamp bar placed horizontally and shafted it in vertically to lock the cross string one by one with your clamp. Proceed with the same pattern on third, forth and fifth etc cross string. Soon as you have reached the last row of cross string with the short end of the string tighten and nicely hold with your clamp on grommet 26A to 26B, you needed to waive the extra few strings shown in diagram 2. And when you come across a block while entering the grommet that was shared with the main string, you can use your hook to part the main string, enabling the cross string to enter the shared grommet as shown in diagram 3

After waiving the few extra cross string that ended at grommet 29A to 29B as shown in diagram 1, you need to tighten the string. Follow the same process, which is pull the extra cross string to the grip head located above the spring tensioner as shown in diagram 2 After gripping the extra cross string, crank the spring tensioner handle clockwise and it will stop automatically when you have reached the desire weight. Now, locked the extra cross string one by one with your clamp until you reached the last string as shown in the diagram 3. Cut off the balance string to about 1ft with a nail cutter as shown in diagram 4

Finished it with a knot

You are almost finished now. Just one simpler step of tying a knot will complete the whole process. Pushed the 1 feet string into grommet 30A and encircled the string over main string on grommet 30A as shown in diagram 1. Once encircled, pulled the string and a knot will be formed as shown in diagram 2. Look at the diagram of how to tie a knot and how to strengthen it with your spring tensioner in diagram 3. Cut the balance string on knots with a nail cutter. Wow, you have successfully strung a beautiful racket!

After the stringing process

After you have finish tying the knot, you will notice that the cross strings aren't straight. Make yourself a magic stick with round edge and softly dragged the cross string from top to bottom as shown in the diagram with even force to straighten them. Now, it looks better!

Though it is rather hard but if possible, it is better to advise your customer not to immediately play with the new strung racket because the tension-losing rate would be very high. It's best if you let your racquet "rest" one or two days.
